Method 1: Check Date and Time Settings

Incorrect time and date settings can be the reason, for which you are encountering SSL connection error with your Android device. In this situation, the first thing which you can do is check the date and time settings using the steps mentioned below.

  1. First of all, right-click on the date and time section situated at the bottom right corner of the PC desktop. 
  2. Next, click on Adjust date/ time. 
  3. If you are a Windows 7 user, click on the time and date section and change the time and date settings. 
  4. Next, update your date and time as per your current time and date zone.
  5. After that, tap on Browse now, in order to see if this error still persists or not. 

Method 2: Use Default Chrome Options

Google Chrome often encounters this kind of errors, if you have not used default Chrome options. In this situation, try out these steps:

  1. At first, right-click on the Google Chrome browser shortcut on your desktop and click on Properties. 
  2. After that, in the target slot, make sure the file name ends with \chrome .exe-ignore-certificate-errors.
  3. Now, click on Apply to save the changes and click on the Ok button to exit from the window. 

Method 3: Change Chrome Settings

As this error can take place due to incorrect Chrome settings, you can fix it by changing some of them. To change the settings, follow these steps:

  1. Firstly, on the main page of Google Chrome, from the top right corner, click on the Settings icon.
  2. Now, click on Settings.  
  3. After that, in the search box, search for ‘network.’ Now click on Change Proxy Settings located under the Network section. 
  4. Next, go to security and toggle the bar from medium to high against Security level.
  5. Now, click on Apply and OK to save the changes. 
  6. After that, navigate to the Content tab and click on the SSL state button. 
  7. Wait until this process finishes, next click on Apply and OK to save the changes. Now, restart the Browser. 

Method 4: Update Browser to Latest Version

Using an outdated version of Google Chrome can also cause this error. So, you need to update the browser using these steps:

  1. Firstly, on your computer, click on the Settings icon in the top right corner, then click on Settings.
  2. After that, on the left side of the webpage, click About.
  3. In case you see a newer version is available, update it. 

Method 5: Reset Your Device 

If you are getting SSL connection error for android device, then it is the high time for you to reset the device properly using these steps:

  1. At first, tap on Settings.
  2. In the Settings window, locate General> Backup & Reset and tap on it.
  3. After that, tap on Reset device.
  4. Now, tap on Delete all.
