Using a Bluetooth Keyboard on the n800

From Internet Tablet Talk

This is a brief set of instructions of how to pair a Bluetooth keyboard with the N800. They are based on my experience with the Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard (BTKB).

The product page: [1]

You do not need to install any drivers - the N800 already has them.

On the N800 go to the control panel and choose Bluetooth > devices > new

It will then search for Bluetooth devices in its vicinity. At this point - or even before - turn on the BTKB.

The n800 should find it - if not just search again. When it does find it a dialog box will come up with the name of the KB and a four digit pairing code. Choose connect (or whatever the dialog box says, e.g., OK, next, etc...). Wait a second or two and on the BTKB type the four digit code followed by enter. This should pair them. If not - repeat. If not still - ???

In the future to connect the BTKB simply open it and press a few keys (make sure the N800's BT is on). Be sure to not press the indented button, as I think this resets the pairing. If you have trouble just re-pair (pair again) the BTKB and the N800.

You also need to set the Keyboard to "Generic 105-key PC" unless of course you own one of the Bluetooth keyboards in the list there.
